GOLF-714 | Play and Learn with the Masters: 18 Pearls of Surgical Excellence

Golf CME

Now you may be asking yourself, what does this have to do with AAGL? Well, we now know through published data that gamification, designed in the right way, has a much higher retention value than traditional learning programs.

This 18-hole game of golf will provide 18 pearls of surgical excellence delivered by Tournament Masters, i.e., green coats (subject matter experts) and 18 case vignettes with live feedback using a text-friendly audience response system.

  • Correct answers will get one stroke removed from the total score
  • Incorrect answers and unanswered questions will have a stroke added to the total score

For a 100-player shotgun start, the typical pace for 18-holes is 4.5 hours (15 minutes per hole). A surgical pearl and the case vignette should take on average 8 minutes per hole; a total of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. 2 additional hours will be awarded for the early morning lectures.
